The official launch isn't until tomorrow, but PVR sleuth Dave Zatz dug up some details on the new HD PVR we've been expecting from Digeo. Turns out, there's two new standalone units in the pipeline.
Both boxes will feature high definition recording capabilities, and Digeo's Moxi interface, which is currently only available to cable customers that receive the box from their service provider. The new standalone unit is being positioned as another TiVo Series3 competitor. When we first heard about Diego's plans earlier this year, the field wasn't particularly crowded, but Digeo's not the only company we're expecting to see launch a non-PC based PVR this year.
It looks like one of the Digeo boxes will be called the Moxi Multi-room HD DMR, with support for a multi-stream CableCard and multi-room viewing. The other box will be called the Moxi Home Cinema Edition HD DMR, and will be a Linux-based system utilizing the AMD LIVE! Home Cinema reference design. Both boxes should be available in the second half of 2007.

1. Did they announce the price?
Will it use the same software the current Moxi has? The stuff with the slow and unusable interface?
