This time last month I asked people to predict the name of the Apple iTV. Not surprisingly sticking "i" in front of a word seems like the popular thing to do when it comes to naming an Apple product. I personally have a hunch that whatever they call it won't have an "i" in front of it and Apple will come up with something quite unique.
Here is a roundup of the suggestions for names of the codenamed Apple iTV:
- iTheatre
- Apple Obal
- iPlace
- iVision
- iV
- iPodcast
- Front Row Seat
- AppleVision
- iShow
- Apple TiVo
- iVeg
- iTube
- iCast
- iStream
- iShare
- Amphitheater
- Applebox
- Apple TV
- MacTV
- Showtime
- iCinema
- MacVision
- MacHD
- iBeam
- iHD
- iWatch
- iHome
- iBelieve
- i2eye
- iToEye

1. Good lord. Maybe marketing is an art form, because most of those suggested names above are about as appealing as a stale doughnut.
Though one name suggestion posted elsewhere seems more Apple-esque: Airport AV.
But would that name really stand out in the way that Jobs would require today?
The last few years shows that Apple is rapidly moving away from the "i" names with new products outside of the iPod brand. Look at products like GarageBand, Aperture, Mac Mini, Macbook (over iBook) and so on.
