In an odd move, TiVo has released a list of the top TV moments of 2006 -- as shown by survey results. Sure, TiVo gathers enough anonymous data to put out a list of the top paused/rewound/skipped/deleted without having watched moments. But instead they did a survey, and put out a press release reminding us that TiVo could be used to watch moments like these.Anyway, without further ado, the list:
- Katie Couric's last day on Today
- Mel Gibson's interview with Diane Sawyer after his DWI arrest
- Oprah tells author James Frey he betrayed readers
- Sara and Grissom get together on CSI
- Faith Hill's reaction to Carrie Underwood's win at CMA Awards
- Kirstie Alley's bikini reveal on Oprah
- Will & Grace series finale in which their kids start dating
- Kate and Sawyer get together on Lost
- Rosie O'Donnell's debut on The View
- Connie Chung attempting a sultry serenade of Maury Povich
Anyway, any major TV moments you think they missed? How do you think the list would be different if they had used anonymous user statistics? I'm guessing the list would be a lot geekier. Even though PVRs are becoming more and more prevalent, PVR owners still strike me as early adopters, more likely to watch MythBusters and Doctor Who than Oprah.

*Doctor Who* FTW! :)
Speaking as a TiVo owner with that very particular program(me) at the top of my Season Pass.
What I saw of Dr. Phil's Tuesday episode on YouTube makes me kinda wish I had that program on my Season Pass. Dr. Phil getting so mad at the creator of BumFights because the guy dressed just like Dr. Phil and shaved his head to match the Dr.'s male pattern baldness was so funny, I laughed until I stopped.
