Compro Technology's latest TV tuner is a USB 2.0 stick that can make MPEG-1/2/4 recordings from PAL, SECAM, or NTSC sources.The VedioMate U890 measures in at just 9.4 x 3.2 x 1.8 centimeters, although there's no dimensions listed for the remote control in the picture. If the stick is actually larger than the remote, it doesn't seem like it would be particularly easy to press the buttons, but hey, tiny is the new cute, right?
The U890 comes with ComproDTV software for watching and recording TV shows. It also features picture in picture technology to let you watch prerecorded and live programs at the same time.
No details on pricing or availability, but with USB HDTV tuners going for under $100 these days, I wouldn't expect this analog tuner to top that price.
