Free movie downloads this Saturday from AOL

AOL Video

This blog's parent company, AOL, is giving away free movie downloads on Saturday. You'll be able to choose from about 30 different movies available at AOL Video.

There will be a couple of Christmas-related titles including Jack Frost, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, but other titles, including Spiderman 2 will be available as well.

Downloads will be available starting at 6:00AM, and will be limited to one per person, although apparently you can download more than one per computer. I don't know if that means you can get extra movies if you enter additional email addresses or screen names, but of course I'd never advocate trying such a thing.

AOL usually sells movies for $10-$20, with TV shows going for about $2 per episode. But with a growing number of sites that people can visit for their video needs, this seems like a pretty smart promotion to get people to try out the service.
