Axion is jumping on the placeshifting bandwagon with the Axion iPTV anywhere. Just like the Sony Location Free and the Slingbox this device will hook up to your home internet connection and stream your TV over the net.Part of the package will be the Axion iPTV wireless monitor which will receive the TV over a wireless internet connection for playback on a 7 inch screen. Whether you can also pick up on the streams using another internet enabled PMP I don't know.
The device also has a USB post and SD card allowing you to view recorded content like on a normal PMP.
Release dates, cost and other information are presently unknown but I'll keep an eye out for you. Interestingly the device is an honoree for the CES Innovations 2007 Awards in the video accessories category along with the Slingbox Pro and the Moviebeam video download service.
