CBS are extremely happy with the results on YouTube. CBS videos have been viewed 29.2 million times since October 18, which is an average of 857,000 views per day.
CBS and YouTube are even linking the views on YouTube to increased television ratings for some CBS shows.
This news makes it much more likely that other content owners will be less strict about their video clips appearing on video sharing sites like YouTube making lawsuits less likely. Whether this will encourage full TV shows to appear on YouTube is another thing.
