Who woulda thunk there'd be so much demand for digital video recorders that let you store video on flash memory cards? Okay I'm still not convinced there is a huge demand, but there's sure a whole array of products to meet whatever need there is. You've got your Neuros MPEG-4 recorder, you've got your i.Tech, your Hagiwara Sys-Com, your Evergreen, and now you can add the Storvision miniVCR SV-1000 MPEG-4 to the mix.The Storvision records to Memory Stick or CompactFlash memory memory cards. You can also purchase the optional 5-in-1 card adapter that fits in the CF slot if you want to record to a different format.
Recordings can be in QVGA (320 x 240 or 368 x 208 for widescreen devices) or 640 x 480 VGA resolution. You just plug the miniVCR into your video source, hit record, and you've got yourself a nice little portable video. There's also a scheduling function, but I don't see any mention of an electronic program guide, so I'd imagine setting up recordings is more like programming a VCR than flipping a button on a TiVo remote.

1. How is this different from the products on offer from NeurosAudio already?
