In the market from a pretty little media center from a company you've probably never heard of?Ubicod's UMH700 will be on display at CES. As a personal video recorder, it can handle hi-def and standard-def TV. It also lets you access media files from any PC on your home network. In other words, it does what Apple's iTV and Microsoft's Xbox aim to do -- allow you to access your home movies and downloaded videos on your TV set.
I'd say Ubicod has an advantage here, because it actually lets you record your own content. But with no word yet on pricing or availability, maybe you'd better off running Windows Vista Media Center and running an Xbox as a media center extender in your living room.
