The author's commentary on the device has just enough creepiness to it that I'd be a little uncomfortable visiting his house and using the bathoom.
I wouldn't even think of concealing surveillance system cameras in drywall or in the spines of hallowed out novels as he suggests, but I'm guessing he was being a little tongue-in-cheek.
Either way, I suddenly find myself in the market for a small device that will play select tracks from the Sliver soundtrack anytime I'm unknowingly being recorded...
