YouTube plans to stream to mobile phones in 2007


SlingPlayer SymbianTired of all the articles we've been posting about yet another way to watch Google and YouTube videos on your mobile phone? It looks like YouTube wants to simplify the process for you, by officially supporting mobile wireless devices.

Speaking at the OgilvyOne Digital Summit on Wednesday, YouTube CEO Chad Hurley promised support for mobile devices would be in place within a year.

Many of the videos users upload to YouTube are captured on mobile phones, and Hurley calls the move to stream content back to those same phones "a natural transition."
