Well, it sure didn't take long for retailers to start dropping the price of Series3 TiVos. Granted, $699 is almost as bad as $799 for a standalone PVR box, but I know a lot of our readers were drooling at the Series3 before it came out -- and probably wiped the drool from their faces and went back to their Series2 boxes when they saw the price. So everyone wants to feel like they're getting a bargain if they're gonna shell out the big bucks for a new unit. With that said, the latest deal comes from Costco, where you can pick up a Series3 for $699. No word yet on whether this offer is available in retail stores, or just through the website.
To recap some of the other deals, you can still get a Series3 box through the TiVo Community Forum store for $680, but that offer expires Sunday. And if you want a tricked out Series3 with an upgraded hard drive, or even just a regular 30-hour unit, you can get a variety of coupons from WeaKnees.
