TIOTL is a new Internet TV startup that sounds very familiar to other vodcast subscribers like Democracy Player, Instant Media and Veoh. TIOTL, which stands for "Tape it off the Internet" will combine BitTorrent feeds, RSS subscriptions, DVD purchases and download purchases.
From that brief description it seems apparent that the software will have a business model that intends to upsell premium content from places like Amazon Unbox and iTunes.
TIOTL themselves say: "We currently index 1,600+ TV shows - 90,000+ episodes - and we are matching everything up with content sources like iTunes, AOL and Amazon Unbox - with more to come."
I have recently said that I didn't like Democracy Player because it was too much effort to download shows. Call me lazy but its too hard finding shows, subscribing to them and organizing it all.
However, if TIOTL could do what Democracy Player does but make it feel like less of an effort and feel more like a PVR then I would be much more enthusiastic.
