Say you've got Windows XP Media Center Edition. Now say you've gone and ripped your collection of 250 DVDs to your enormous hard drive for easy viewing within media center.Great, now you've got a list of 250 movies indexed by title. But what if you want more than that? Well, once upon a time (about a year ago), Matt Goyer posted that you could create a 150 byte file called dvdid.xml for each movie and your computer would automatically download the cover art and info (including title, year, actors, rating, length, description, director etc).
But what if you don't feel like making 250 little files by hand. Well, the folks at DVDxml.com went and archived 15,000 dvdid.xml listings on their site, so all you have to do is download the ones you need. The files are available for download for free, although they suggest if you have a file not in their listing that you upload it.

1. DVDxml.com does not have a single dvdid.xml file that contains all 15,000+ dvdids. What we do have is a different dvdid.xml file for EACH of the 15,000+ titles we catalog. Each DVD title requires its own dvdid.xml file.
