According to Informitv, the guys behind Skype and Kazaa are set to launch their latest venture, an online TV distribution project, at the Future of Television Forum in New York in mid-November.There's not a lot of information about the project, code-named "The Venice Project," other than the fact that it's backed by Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis, who have been involved in both Skype and Kazaa.
The project's website describes it as combining "the best things about television with the social power of the internet," but it' s not expected to be a video download site or file-sharing application. Whatever it is, you can sign up to be a beta tester here.
