The big product announcement of Digital Life 2006 was the new Treo 680. Other than the fact that you might eventually be able to use SlingPlayer with it, there's not much PVR news there.
But we did get a chance to get all grabby hands with a few items we've been itching to see. Here's a look at what we found on the floor of Digital Life.

An old friend was there to greet us.

A couple of Sony Location Free TV base stations sitting around with nothing to do.

A closer look at the One Voice remote control.

Moxi's current interface - coming next year to an unlocked box near you.

A Pepper Pad 3 playing Robots. Unlike the original Pepper Pad, this model can handle movies at 30fps. With a 7-inch display and a 20GB hard drive, it makes a halfway decent if somewhat clunky portable media player.

Asus UMPC running Yahoo Go software. This is a snapshot from the Intel presentation.

I wanted to see that UMPC myself, but unfortunately there were no videos on this one, and even though there was a tantalizing icon for SlingPlayer, it hadn't been paired with a Slingbox. So I have no idea how it handles video, but based on how sharp the screen was and how snappy the response to stylus clicks was, I'm guessing a lot better than that Pepper Pad.
