With Windows Vista incorporating Media Center functions and a 10-foot interface, and Apple releasing its iTV with a 10-foot interface, this seems like a transitional technology to me. Gyration makes a mouse-like product for making presentations and doing powerpoint slideshows. But we're seeing more and more ways to integrate internet features like YouTube or fantasy football into a 10-foot interface.
But Gyration CEO Tom Quinn insists that the market for these devices is growing as people want to access the internet via their HDTV sets. A few months ago, Gyration released the Dell-branded remote you can see in this photo.
