Sharp is one of those electronics manufacturers that I've always managed to steer clear of for some strange reason, perhaps because they sponsored Manchester United in years gone by, but mostly because I've never felt that they've ever introduced anything groundbreaking to the market (certainly, not that I can think of).
However, they're in the PVR market now, with the TU-R160H PVR (one day, someone will explain to me the twisted meaning behind model numbers on electronics devices. Before anyone emails -- I know the '160' refers to the HD size).
This little set-top box has a 160GB hard drive, with two tuners and an eight-day EPG, retailing for around £230 here in the UK when it hits the streets.
It really doesn't look much on the outside, so I'll reserve judgement until I see it in action, or until someone posts a decent review.
