This is a real beast of a plasma TV. The LG 60PC1D boasts a 60 inch plasma screen and includes an built-in High Definition PVR unit. LG has already released a 50 inch plasma with an in-built PVR, but this 60 inch 60PC1D whopper just takes it to a new level.LG showed this brute of a TV off at the recent CEDIA trade show. The LG 60PC1D's HD DVR has 160 GB of storage, allowing 13 hours of HD recordings and 63 hours of standard definition video. The plasma TV also has a 7000:1 contrast ratio and has integrated ATSC, NTSC and QAM tuners.
It's no surprise a plasma beast of this magnitude doesn't come cheap. The LG 60PC1D will set you back $5,399 and is available now.
1. This seems cool, but let me tell you, the built in PVR is not ready for prime time. I had both the LG and Mittsubishi built in recorders and both died of Hard Drive failure with in 3 months of purchase. Stick with an external PVR, it will make your life allot easer.
