Why bother paying $1.99 for a TV episode from iTunes when you can record it yourself for free on your computer with a TV tuner card and copy it to your iPod to watch on the go, right?
Well, why bother with the computer?
The $100 iLoad + is an accessory for the $249 iLoad device. The iLoad is a standalone box that lets you rip CDs directly to an iPod without a computer. The iLoad + adds TV capture to that.
Basically, you plug your iPod (or a USB flash drive) into the iLoad +, plug it into the iLoad box and into your television, bring up the electronic program guide (which somehow works without an internet connection), and you can schedule upcoming recordings to be stored directly on your iPod or flash drive.
Both the iLoad and the iLoad + are scheduled due out in November.

1. Download XVID version from "internet", use isquint to convert to iPod compatible format, save $349
