Niveus is showing off a whole new crop of media center PCs today. The 2007 Pro Series n7 and n9 are rack-mounted systems that include Intel ViiV technology, Core 2 Duo Extreme Processors, and NVidia GeForce Series 7 graphic cards. Oh right, and Windows Media Center Edition 2005, HDMI-output, yada yada yada.
Here's the good stuff:
- 1Tb to 3TB storage
- Up to 4 TV tuners (2 NTSC and 2 ATSC)
- Up to 4GB RAM
- 8-channel audio
For the more consumer oriented, may we point out the new Niveus Rainier and Denali Editions, priced at a lowly $3500 and $700, also available September 30th?
These machines come with Viiv, Core Duo or Core 2 Duo processors, HD DVD and HDMI output. Running Windows MCE 2005, Rainier can handle up to 2 standard and 1 OTA HD tuner, a 750GB hard drive, and 2GB of memory. The Denali addition handles up to 4 TV tuners, 1TB of storage, 4GB of storage, and all around seems a bit more like the pro-models, but with the addition of WiFi.
If you were holding out for something a bit pricier than the modded TiVo Series3, you might want to give these puppies a try.
