Instructional videos

VideoJugSpeaking of user-uploaded video sites, a new one popped up yesterday. VideoJug is like an educational version of YouTube. The site focuses on instructional videos that explain everything from how to apply makeup to how to properly fold a T-shirt.

VideoJug differs from other video sharing sites in that it reviews submissions to make sure they meet "quality criteria." And VideoJug produces some of its own videos. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Now, there's already a way to get YouTube videos onto your Windows Media Center PC. And seeing as folks can't seem to get enough clips of old men complaining about life, that's a good start. But I would love to see a plugin for a site like VideoJug, or integration with TiVo and other set-top boxes.

I think this could be the future of public access television. I love the idea of being able to turn on my TV and see something educational, but it just so rarely happens. Having a library of useful (and not so useful) videos available at any time would be far more convenient. For now, if I want to see how to make mango chutney, I'll still need to use my computer.
