PVR Wire is looking for some new blood to add to our team. If you have a passion for PVRs, TiVo, digital video recording, Windows Media Center -- maybe you simply enjoy messing around with PVR technology on your Mac or PC -- or if you go to great lengths to get the most out of your PVR, you might be just the person we're looking for. We're particularly interested in hearing from writers who have impeccable grammar and spelling, with an aptitude for summarizing the latest PVR news and generating their own original copy about the wild world of PVRs.
To apply to be a Weblogs Incorporated Network blogger with PVR Wire, send an e-mail with "PVR Wire application" along with your full name in the subject line, using our tips page. Make sure you include all of the following:
-
Your areas of interest and expertise in relation to PVRs. Be specific! It's no good just to say you own a TiVo or like pausing Desperate Housewives to nip to the bathroom.
-
Your blogging experience and the URL of your own personal blog. If you don't have blogging experience, be prepared to demonstrate significant writing ability and background. Some examples of published work would be good too. Ideally, we'd like to hear from people with some experience in writing, with a profile and the ability to make contacts, dig out stories and blaze a trail.
-
Tell us a bit about yourself in a couple of paragraphs; why you think you would make the best addition to our team; how much time, energy, and dedication you're willing to contribute to PVR Wire. Remember, we're looking for people who can contribute original content regularly.
-
And lastly, you need to include, three original writing samples, such as three sample blog entries with links. We want to see what you would write on your first day with PVR Wire. The length of the content is up to you, but take your cues from what you read here on PVR Wire and the other WIN blogs. Variety and originality will get you to the front of the line. We like writers who are smart, concise, opinionated-but-open-minded, and independent. Surprise and impress us.
If you have any questions, post them below and we'll do our best to answer them.
Get to it!

1. If you're looking for impeccable grammar and spelling you might be concerned to note that your post earlier in the day consistently misspelled "Nielsen" : http://www.pvrwire.com/2006/07/12/neilsen-to-track-ad-viewing-stats
It's been bugging me, sorry.
