If you're thinking of buying a PVR setup for your Mac, you're probably sitting right now debating the dilemma of hanging off until Steve Jobs gets his act together, or splashing out on one of the products currently offered by a third party.A good place to start might be Anton Linecker's review of the Miglia TVMini HD, which performs all the usual computer-based PVR functions, only on a Mac (they do TV too???).
It's a USB device, wit the added bonus of being able to record in HD (ATSC), although has a few drawbacks (namely, the rubbish little antenna bundled with the package).
It's not exactly a starting point, but it looks like a solid product, if a bit pricey.
I'd certainly be interested in hearing fro many readers with any experience of the TVMini.

1. Please don'tbe fooled by this product. It ships with the hardware but it does not work You have to 'apply' for a activation code. That takes about 48 hours and then finally if lucky you might be able to use it. This product is very much imature - atleast the eyetv2 software. don't make the mistake I made - buy a 1394 based system.
