Ackerman at CNet sent us a link to a first look at SageTV's Placeshifter, which aims to give SlingBox a run for its
money.The new application, called SageTV Placeshifter, streams videos, music, and photos, in addition to live and recorded TV, from a remote PC.
The current price is $30 for the add-on to SageTV 5, or it can be purchased with the full package for $99.
Dan gave the new software a whirl and documented his findings at CNet, which seem generally quite positive. He was able to check out The Sopranos and South Park episodes stored on a remote PC, as well as watch live TV -- and even change the channel remotely.
