Fox puts programs on the internet

FoxReuters is reporting that Fox network has signed an agreement with 187 affiliated stations to let it deliver television programs over the Internet.

The six-year deal forms part of a revenue-sharing agreement for over 60 percent of its prime-time shows to be made available to download following broadcast.

The delivery method is not yet fully known, but given the overwhelming success of the March Madness NCAA college basketball playoffs being made available on the web as streams, it could be that the new offerings will also be streamed in some format or another.

Thanks to Mike for the Tip.
