If you think my gadget lust for all things Archos was bad before, it's about to get much
worse. I found out earlier today that Archos has announced a handheld PVR with no fewer than two digital TV tuners.
Boasting a whopping great 7" widescreen display, the AV 700 TV also sports a 40 GB hard drive for video storage, but can also play music and display images. (We posted a link to an early review on it back in November).
However, the two most impressive features are the dual tuners and the mobile digital television receiver. With two on-board tuners, the AV700 will allow you to watch one channel while recording another -- and it can also be connected to a TV to act as a perfectly good PVR.
Archos also claims that the antenna can pick up digital TV at physical speeds of up to 130kph/81mph, which means Michael Schumacher can watch Battlestar Galactica whilst racing round the Nurburgring in Germany.
What's more, it supports WM10, Microsoft's DRM and will retail for around £482 ($841/€699).
