TiVo has
opened the door for its beta testing of software that automatically converts and transfers TiVoToGo
video for the video iPod and the Sony PSP. You must sign up to receive the beta of software version 2.3 of TiVo's
desktop software here. Once the beta period is over, you'll need to
download the final version of the software, which will do auto transfers to the two devices for free. You need to
purchase support for the iPod and PSP separately, however. It's expected to cost $30 or less. You won't be able to
record tagged video-on-demand or pay-per-view programs. The conversion of a program can take up to twice as long as the
program's original length, which is why the software will include automatic synchronization. You can wake up in the
morning, with the video ready for your commute.TiVo opens beta for iPod, PSP feature
