Sony ramp up LocationFree with software development kit release

Sony LocationFree Sony has announced a software development kit for their LocationFree system, which should be available late in 2006, allowing software developers to adapt their applications to enable personal streaming across a range of portable and mobile media devices.

LocationFree lets users connect related audio/video devices like a DVD player, PVR or set-top box to a base station and stream the content wirelessly to a Sony LocationFree television. Users can also access content via the base station around their home or over the Internet.

I seem to remember a few users posting comments about LocationFree in the past, so if you have any experience of the kit, let us know.
