Akimbo/Thomson Internet VOD player on the way

Akimbo and Thomson have partnered to produce a new Akimbo PVR-style player with video-on-demand content provided by Movielink, due for release in Spring 2006.

The player, will cost around $199 (with rebate), and should include Ethernet and USB to allow home networking, with storage catering for up to 150 hours video content.
