SkipJam has announced a SkipJam iMedia XStream Storage Server
bundle with a SkipJam iMedia Center for $2499.The SkipJam iMedia Center automates the recording of programs from from any broadcast source or networked device and includes a searchable EPG. Encoding is via MPEG-4, saved to the 2 TB of SkipJam XStream storage -- which amounts to a hefty amount of video; about 5,000 hours of standard TV, or over half a million songs.
To translate that into real terms, how would you like to be able to store all 180 Seinfeld episodes, all 140 Start Trek Deep Space 9 episodes, and still have enough room for over 1,500 full length feature films?
