Video Without
Boundaries has announced the latest in its MediaREADY range, the MediaREADY 6000.I've spotted MediaREADY products a few times in the past on my web travels, but I've never really had any inclination to write about them.
However, this device seems to have everything a PVR fan could ever want: DVD/MP3/CD recording and playback, an Internet browser, email, a media jukebox, CableCARD digital cable tuning, dual ATSC/NTSC/PAL tuners, support for AAC and the iPod support, HD MPEG 2-4 (H.264)/DivX/WMV/VC-1 codecs and VoIP/ video conferencing support (with a camera and microphone).
If you want to see one, it'll be demonstrated live at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at the Video Without Boundaries booth from January 5-January 8, along with some of their other new devices.
Unfortunately, the 6000 carries a price tag of $1,249 and won't ship until Q2 of 2006.
