(Page 1)2. I think I need to work on my writing skills... DTV will be joining DISH and TiVo as a *competitor* in the portable media market. They will be unveiling a different partner, which I suspect will be a hardware vendor (as in DISH/Archos, TiVo/Intel) and possibly NBC (http://www.zatznotfunny.com/2005-11/directv-sells-nbc-shows-for-99-cents/) to provide portable content.

1. I find that odd... Didn't DirectTV & Tivo just finish an ugly breakup with DirectTV believing they could make a 'better' PVR without having to pay Tivo licensing and then having ugly/buggy software that is still receiving updates to attempt to fix?
