According to Lifestyle Extra, AOL is launching a free internet download channel in early 2006 that will allow customers to view 3,400 hours of classic television online, including episode downloads of Wonder Woman and Kung Fu.In2TV has been in development for two years and will offer 4,800 programs spanning 100 series of Warner Bros-produced shows, making it the first free online offering from a major TV studio.
Two more channels are planned for the future, increasing the offering to 14,000 episodes from over 300 right-cleared television shows.
Added to this, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network are also planning to offer the online sale of several half-hour programs for $2.99 per download, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
