The number of customers added to BSkyB's satellite TV service in the U.K. has dropped as a result of an increase in users choosing not
to renew their subscriptions. However, BSkyB chief executive James Murdoch still believes the company is on track to pass the eight million mark for standard subscribers, and the company's PVR service, Sky+ has now passed the one million subscriber mark.
BskyB is hoping the Sky+ service will continue to attract new customers, and the first quarter results published today indicate that 32% of new customers to Sky+ were entirely new to satellite TV.

1. I suspect that some Sky subcribers are moving to Freeview.
