Unfortunately, I don't have it yet, but Dave Zatz over at Zatz Not Funny is reporting that TiVo has begun rolling out software version 7.2.1 for Series 2 owners. I still have version 7.2 (though even that's pretty recent). The screenshot to the right is courtesy of Zatz Not Funny. While he terms it a "minor release," the new version includes overlap protection, which helps users frustrated by TV networks scheduling the beginning and ending of programming. Apparently, according to TiVo, when you turn on overlap protection, your PVR "automatically clips the lower priority recording by just enough minutes to allow both programs to record."
TiVo has a whole page on the new feature, so feel free to get the details directly from them rather than me reprinting them here. It's good to see that TiVo is still adding small features like this, rather than neglecting these important ones and releasing only show-stopper ones.

1. Wouldn't be such a problem if they'd just sell a box with two tuners in it.
